Lovecraft Country creator Misha Green is set to helm MGM's upcoming Tomb Raider sequel starring Alicia Vikander. Tomb Raider 2 will mark Green's feature directorial debut, reports Variety.
Vikander had played the role of protagonist Lara Croft in the Roar Uthaug-directed first part, which was written by Captain Marvel scribe Geneva Robertson-Dworet. The film raked in over $270 million at the global box office.
Green will also pen the script of the sequel, which will be bankrolled by Graham King's GK Films banner and Elizabeth Cantillon's The Cantillon Company.
Best known for creating and directing Lovecraft Country, Misha Green has also directed Netflix's The Mother and WGN's Underground.
