Pawan Kalyan, Rana Daggubati begin shooting for Ayyappanum Koshiyum remake

Tentatively titled Billa Ranga, the film is likely to be released in August

The principal photography of the Telugu remake of Ayyappanum Koshiyum, which features Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati in the lead roles, commenced in Hyderabad today. Tentatively titled Billa Ranga, the film is being directed by Saagar Chandra. 

"The combination scenes of Pawan Kalyan and Rana are being shot in a specially-constructed lodge set in Aluminum factory, Gachibowli. The shoot will go on for 25 days and a major portion of the film will be shot in this schedule," shares a source, adding, "The makers are planning to release the film in August."

Ayyappanum Koshiyum revolves around the battle of egos between a police officer named Ayyappan Nair, played by Biju Menon, and an ex-Havildar named Koshy Kurien, essayed by Prithviraj Sukumaran. While Pawan Kalyan will be seen in Biju Menon's role, Rana will reprise Prithviraj's character.

The Telugu remake also features Sai Pallavi and Aishwarya Rajesh as the leading ladies. Produced under Sitara Entertainments, Billa Ranga has music by SS Thaman.
