Speculation of Sudeep's upcoming film undergoing a title change was officially confirmed by the makers on Thursday. The film, which was earlier titled Phantom, will now be called Vikrant Rona, and has Sudeep playing the titular role.

Director Anup Bhandari will be coming up with a video on January 24, through which he will tell the audience why the film's title was changed. The team also announced the launching of a title logo and forthcoming sneak peek into the world of Vikrant Rona on January 31 in Dubai.

Kichcha Sudeep becomes the first actor in the world to have a 2000 feet virtual cut-out and Viktant Rona the first film to have display of almost 180 seconds on Burj Khalifa. This is to honour and celebrate Sudeep's 25 years in cinema. The entire event will be live-streamed on Kichcha Sudeep's Twitter handle as well as on Kichcha Creations' YouTube channel on January 31, 9 pm onwards.

Vikranth Rona is an action-adventure starring Sudeep as a cop. It is produced by Shalini Manjunath under his banner Shalini Arts and co-produced by Alankar Pandian. The film has music scored by Ajaneesh Loknath and cinematography by William David.
