TNT's Snowpiercer series has been renewed for a third season. Based on the Snowpiercer graphic novel and Bong Joon-Ho's Chris Evans-starrer of the same name, the series stars Daveed Diggs and Jennifer Connelly in the lead roles.

Snowpiercer, which premiered in May 2020 after being stuck in development for several years, is set over seven years after Earth has become a frozen wasteland and follows the survivors who board a train called Snowpiercer that never stops anywhere.

The news about the renewal comes days before season 2 premieres on January 25. Season 2 of the series met with multiple hurdles as the production was related due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

With season 1 ending on a cliffhanger, fans have to wait and watch to see how things turn out in the upcoming seasons.
