We had earlier reported that the 2015 sci-fi comedy Indru Netru Naalai will be getting a sequel. Now, the project has been officially launched. Indru Netru Naalai 2 will also be headlined by Vishnu Vishal, with Karunakaran also playing an important role. 

The announcement was made on social media today. "Travelling back in time! See you all in the future. Indru Netru Naalai 2 movie pooja held today... Back with my buddies CV Kumar and Karunakaran. Script by Ravikumar, directed by Karthik Ponraj, music by Ghibran. Need your love and support as always," tweeted Vishnu Vishal.

The sequel will be directed by debutant Karthik Ponraj, who has earlier assisted on Indru Netru Naalai and Mundasupatti. The film has a script by director Ravikumar, who helmed the original. Produced by CV Kumar, Indru Netru Naalai 2 will have music by Ghibran.
