CE Features

Actor Ganesh and director Suni will resume shooting for Sakath from January 20. The Golden Star is currently shooting for Mahesh Gowda’s Tribble Riding, and Suni is left with five days of work for Sharan’s Avatar Purusha.

Sakath is the second collaboration of the actor and director duo after Chamak, and they plan to begin the shooting with court scenes in Bengaluru.

The film is being jointly produced under the KVN banner and Suprith Productions. Its shooting was started in February 2020, but the team had to discontinue it after the first schedule due to the pandemic outbreak.

Sakath is a romantic drama that revolves around a reality show and a court case. It will mark the debut of Surbhi in Kannada cinema. She is paired opposite Ganesh. The film has music composed by Judah Sandy and cinematography by Santhosh Rai Pathaje.

The combination of Ganesh and Suni in Chamak was a success, and this has created a lot of expectations from their second film.

Meanwhile, Ganesh also has Gaalipata 2, directed by Yogaraj Bhat and produced by Ramesh Reddy under the banner of Suraj Productions. The film is expected to go on floors soon and the makers are currently finalising the shooting locations.

Suni, on the other hand, has Robin Hood in his lineup, which will see him teaming up once again with Avatar Purusha producers, Pushkar Films.
