Smruthi Venkat, who recently won appreciation for her performance in Mookuthi Amman, has been roped in to play a key role in Dhanush’s upcoming film with Karthick Naren. The official announcement was made by Sathya Jyothi Films yesterday. 

Smruthi tweeted her excitement to be part of the project.

D43 has Malavika Mohan playing the female lead. Lyricist Vivek was recently roped in as an additional scriptwriter. D43 also has Virus writers Sharfu and Suhas on board. The film will have music by GV Prakash Kumar. 

Smruthi, who made her debut with Arun Vijay’s Thadam, was also seen in Pathavaitha Neruppondru which had a digital release earlier last year.
