Musician-actor Teejay Arunasalam, who made his debut with Asuran, has been roped in to play a key role in Simbu-Gautham Karthik’s Pathu Thala. It has been announced that writer Manushyaputhiran, who played a cameo in Super Deluxe, is also part of the film. 

The official Tamil remake of the Kannada hit Mufti, Pathu Thala will be helmed by Sillunu Oru Kadhal filmmaker Krishna. While Simbu and Gautham Karthik play the male leads, Priya Bhavani Shankar has been paired with Gautham in the film. The Monster actor will play a Tahsildar.  

Produced by Studio Green, shooting for Pathu Thala will begin in the last week of February. The rest of the cast and crew is yet to be announced.
