In her new memoir, Unfinished, Priyanka Chopra has recalled how Vijay made a lasting impression on her. After winning the Miss World title, Priyanka had made her acting debut with the 2002 Tamil film, Thamizhan. It was her first and only film with Vijay.

“Vijay’s humility and his generosity with fans made a lasting impression on me,” Priyanka has written in Unfinished. She recalls being thronged by fans on the sets of her debut US show Quantico in New York. It was then she realised what she had learned from Vijay on the sets of Thamizhan. “As I stood and took pictures with them through my lunch break, I thought about my very first co-actor ever and the example he’d set,” Priyanka writes.

Unfinished was released by Penguin Random House on February 9.

Priyanka was recently seen in The White Tiger on Netflix. She is slated to appear in the upcoming Matrix reboot directed by Lana Wachowski.
