The shoot of Mission Majnu commenced today in Lucknow. A spy thriller set in the 70s, the film is fronted by Sidharth Malhotra. He is paired opposite Rashmika Mandanna in her Bollywood debut.

Mission Majnu tells the story of ‘India's most ambitious covert operation’ against Pakistan. In the film, Sidharth essays a RAW agent in the 1970s who leads the mission. It is written by Parveez Shaikh, Aseem Arrora, and Sumit Batheja, and is directed by ad filmmaker Shantanu Bagchi. The film is produced by RSVP and Guilty By Association.

“Mission Majnu is a patriotic tale inspired by true events that celebrates the hard work of RAW agents who go out of their way to protect the citizens of our country,” Sidharth had earlier shared. “It is a privilege to tell the story of our brave agents, and I am eager to revisit a mission that forever changed the relationship between India and Pakistan.”
