Rumours of a multi-starrer project from the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) featuring Mammootty, Mohanlal and many major actors from Malayalam cinema have been doing the rounds for a while. This was officially confirmed by Mohanlal at the inauguration of the new AMMA office at Kochi.

Directors Priyadarshan and TK Rajeev Kumar will be directing the yet-to-be-titled film, which is being touted as a crime thriller, scripted by the latter. Mammootty, Mohanlal, and over 140+ actors from the industry are expected to be part of the film produced jointly by AMMA and Aashirvad Cinemas.

It has been 13 years since a collaboration of this nature happened when AMMA and Dileep teamed up to produce Twenty: 20 in 2008. The film was helmed by Joshiy and featured numerous big names from Malayalam including Mammootty, Mohanlal, Suresh Gopi, Dileep, Jayaram, and Indrajith Sukumaran among others.

The new film is also seen as a philanthropic gesture to support film artists and technicians in the wake of the Covid-19 crisis.
