We had previously reported that Raghava Lawrence is working on a film titled Rudhran. It is now known that veteran actor Sarathkumar has been roped in for an important role in the film. The duo had previously worked together in Muni 2: Kanchana, back in 2011.

The Twitter account of the production house, Five Star Creations, broke the news with a tweet that said, "Happy to welcome the one and only Sarathkumar sir onboard for Rudhran."

Starring Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female lead, the film is the directorial debut of Kathiresan. Rudhran went on floors last week and Sarathkumar is expected to join the sets soon.

Lawrence has films like the Rangasthalam remake and Chandramukhi 2 in the pipeline. Meanwhile. Sarathkumar is a part of Mani Ratnam's upcoming film, Ponniyin Selvan.
