Diljit Dosanjh released a song today praising Rihanna for her tweet on the farmers' protest in India. The song, titled RiRi (Rihanna’s nickname), is written by Raj Sanjodh and composed by Intense. Diljit had earlier tweeted a Punjabi proverb commending Rihanna.

The song has managed to irk Kangana Ranaut, who shot back at Diljit with, “Chal theek hai, sirf bol de tu Khalistani nahin hai, kyun itna baatein ghuma raha hai ? Bol de simply ... kyun nahin bol sakta ? Sara discussion close ho jayega mera doubt bhi clear ho jayega. Please say …” (Okay fine, just say you are not a Khalistani, why are you beating around the bush? Just say it simply… why aren’t you saying? All the discussion will end, my doubts will also be cleared. Please say …)

Kangana had earlier slammed Rihanna’s tweet.

Incidentally, this is not the first time an Indian singer has paid tribute to Rihanna. In 2016, Baba Sehgal had released a song titled Rihanna O Rihanna.
