Tipu Sultan Nainar Mohammed, actor Rajkiran's son, is set to make his directorial debut with the sequel to his father's landmark film, En Rasavin Manasile. 

The film, which marked Kasthuri Raja's directorial debut, starred Rajkiran and Meena in the lead and had music by Ilaiyaraaja. En Rasavin Manasile also catapulted actor Vadivelu into the limelight

Rajkiran issued a statement to announce the sequel. He said, "With god's blessings, my son, Tipu Sultan Nainar Mohammad, who is celebrating his 20th birthday today, has completed writing the story of En Rasavin Manasile 2. He is currently working on the screenplay of the same, and is set to direct the film too." 

The cast and crew of the upcoming film are yet to be announced.
