Director Mahendar has joined hands with Ravichandran for a rural film. The filmmaker famous for  his Karpoorada Gombe, Snehaloka, Vallee and Ninagagi, will be collaborating for the first time with the Crazy Star. While there have been speculations that the director has been preparing for this project for a while, it was confirmed to CE on Friday by the director himself. “Yes, Ravichandran and I will be associating for a project, and we have locked the script,” he says. The director shares that the lockdown has delayed the progress of the project. “We have been working on the project for a while, finalising the technical team and cast. We had planned to start shooting soon, but, the lockdown and pandemic have now put everything on hold,” says Mahendar, adding that the details of the film will be announced when the project goes on floors.

Ravichandran has previously worked in rural films like Halli Mestru, Annayya and Ramachaari. He finished shooting for BM Giriraj’s Kannadiga a while ago and has Drishya 2 in the pipeline. He also has his directorial Ravi Bopanna gearing up for a release.

Meanwhile, director Mahendar has completed shooting for Pampa (Panchahalli Parashivamurthy) and it is ready for release.
