Ravi Teja and Anil Ravipudi are reuniting for the sequel of their 2017 blockbuster Raja The Great.

The first film tells the story of a visually challenged man who aspires to become a cop, but ends up being an undercover agent and is entrusted with the protection of a slain cop's daughter from a dreaded gangster.

It may be recalled that the end credits of the film hint at a sequel along with the title logo Raja 2 The Great. In one of his interviews with Cinema Express, Anil said, "There is a slight tease at the very end of the rolling titles hinting at the possibility of a sequel for the actioner. The sequel will definitely happen but I can’t tell you the exact schedule of the shooting, release, and other details at the moment.”

However, a source close to the director reveals that Anil has recently pitched the storyline to Ravi Teja and the actor has asked the director to come up with a complete script. In all probability, the film will go on floors by the end of this year or early next year.

Dil Raju, who made Raja The Great, will bankroll the sequel as well.

Also featuring Mehreen Pirzada, Rajendra Prasad and Radhika in pivotal roles, Raja The Great had music by Sai Karthik.
