The much-anticipated Dhanush-Karthik Subbaraj film, Jagame Thandhiram, is all set for premiere on Netflix on June 18. The streaming giant took to Twitter to announce the release date of the film along with a new poster.

Jagame Thandhiram, produced by Y Not Studios, has Dhanush playing the role of a carefree Tamil gangster who is recruited by a foreign crime lord.

Apart from Dhanush, the film also stars Aishwarya Lekshmi, Kalaiyarasan, and Joju George in prominent roles. Hollywood actor James Cosmo, known for films like Trainspotting, Brave Heart, and Troy, plays the antagonist.

Santhosh Narayanan has composed the music for the film, and two of the songs from the album (Rakkita Rakita and Buji) are already huge hits on YouTube.

Jagame Thandhiram was expected to have a theatrical release, but due to the pandemic, it is now premiering directly on Netflix. This marks the first direct-OTT release of Dhanush.
