Vikram Prabhu's Pagaiye Kathiru goes on floors

Vikram Prabhu has signed a new project titled Pagaye Kathiru. The film, bankrolled by Rasi Muthusamy's Kandhan Arts, has Smruthi Venkat playing the female lead. It went on floors today in Chennai. 

Directed by debutant Manivel, the film has Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Vidya Pradeep, Sai Kumar and Siva Shara playing important roles. The action-thriller is said to feature Vikram in a never-before-seen role and will reportedly have a strong social message. 

Pagaiye Kathiru has cinematography by Selvakumar and music by Sam CS.

The film is planned to be shot in Kochin, Hyderabad and Chennai. The first schedule, which started today, will be wrapped around the last week of May. 

Apart from this film, Vikram Prabhu, who was last seen in Pulikkuthi Pandi, also has films like Taanakkaran, Paayum Oli Nee Yenakku, and Ponniyin Selvan in the pipeline.
