Thej, who began his acting career as a child artiste and starred in actor-director Shankar Nag's Maheshwara, is back in Kannada cinema with a film titled Rewind.

Meese Chiguridaga (2003) was Thej's first film as a lead hero, and it even featured a song sung by Dr Rajkumar. However, he put his acting aspirations on hold soon after to concentrate on his education. 

After returning to the silver screen with a few films in Tamil like Konjam Veyil Konjam Mazhai and Kadhalukku Maranamillai, Thej is back in Kannada cinema after an 18-year gap.

Rewind, which is also directed and produced by Thej, stars Chandana as the female lead. The film features actors like Sampath Kumar, Sundar Raj, Mandya Ravi and Anan in prominent roles as well.
