Balakrishna’s upcoming film with filmmaker Boyapati Srinu has been titled Akhanda. The film, which was being tentatively referred to as BB3, marks the third collaboration between the actor and director after Simha and Legend. 

The makers of the film released the title of the film along with a one-minute teaser today coinciding with Ugadi. From Balakrishna mouthing dialogues in his trademark style to fighting people, the teaser promises an intense action-drama on the lines of the duo’s previous works.

Akhanda stars Pragya Jaiswal as the female lead, and sources close to the film say she will be playing the role of an IAS officer. Srikanth stars as the antagonist.

The film, bankrolled by Dwaraka Creations, has music by S Thaman and cinematography by Ram Prasad.

It was originally scheduled for release on May 28, but with the recent surge in COVID-19 cases and consequent postponement of several films, an official confirmation regarding the same is awaited from the makers.
