There were reports earlier today that the Film Exhibitors Union of Kerala (FEUOK) had issued an ultimatum to Fahadh Faasil for collaborating with streaming platforms. The latest update is that the association dismissed the reports, clarifying that the actor has already informed the members about the reasons for releasing his recent films on OTT.

FEUOK also added that Fahadh assured them he will not release another film on an OTT platform in the immediate future.

Earlier today, reports stated that, as per the organisation, the actor's upcoming theatrical releases, including Malik, will be prevented from being screened if he continues to release some of his films directly on OTT platforms.

Fahadh has so far opted for three films to premiere on OTT platforms. His films CU Soon and Joji premiered on Amazon Prime Video, while Irul was released on Netflix.

Malik, Fahadh's third film with director Mahesh Narayanan, is slated for release on May 13.

It was also reported that the committee has decided that Mohanlal's Drishyam 2, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video, will not get a theatrical release.
