Actor Akhil Akkineni's spy-thriller with director Surender Reddy has been titled Agent. The film has the actor playing the titular role of a secret agent who is on an undercover mission. The first look poster, along with the release date of Agent, was released by the makers today coinciding with the actor's birthday.

Akhil has reportedly gone for a makeover and will be seen in a bulked-up avatar in the film. Sharing the first look poster, Akhil tweeted, 

In the poster, Akhil is seen sporting an unruly look and puffing a cigarette.

Produced under AK Entertainments in association with Surender2Cinema, Agent was launched in Hyderabad today. The launch was attended by Akhil's parents and actors Nagarjuna and Amala Akkineni, along with the crew of the film. 

Agent, which has music by SS Thaman, is slated for release on the eve of Christmas (December 24).

The makers are planning to shoot the film in multiple locations in Indian as well as abroad. Mumbai-based model Sakshi Vaidya is making her Telugu debut with the film.
