Director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri is featuring Qawwali folk artistes of Bhopal in his upcoming film, The Last Show. The filmmaker recently flew to Bhopal to begin the film’s shoot with Anupam Kher and Satish Kaushik. There, he met with folk artistes while shooting with Anupam Kher at the city's Shaukat Mahal. The folk artistes dedicated a Qawwali song to the director. Loving their performance, he decided to do something about the revival of old and forgotten Qawwali groups of Bhopal.

Vivek Ranjan stated, "The Last Show is a tribute to dying arts of India like folk theatre, qawwali, brass band, etc. I have worked hard to find these old artistes who are lost in oblivion and nobody cares about. You might not have heard of this qawwali group but they are masters of their art."

The Last Show celebrates ‘45 years of friendship shared by Anupam Kher and Satish Kaushik’. The film is jointly produced by Anupam Kher, Rumi Jafry, Satish Kaushik and Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri. It will also star newcomer Vardhan Puri.
