Actor STR hailed SPB as a healer whose voice comforted the suffering and embraced everyone, while Sarath Kumar affirmed that SPB’s legacy will live on

Expressing his awe over the thousands of songs sung by the iconic singer, actor Silambarasan TR remarked that SP Balasubrahmanyam was an artist whose feats transcended linguistic boundaries and held the world in its sway. The legendary singer passed away earlier today at the age of 74.

STR hailed SPB as a healer whose voice comforted the suffering and embraced everyone. The actor recounted his early days when he met SPB who sang in his father, T Rajendar’s composition. He remarked on how benevolent SPB was as a person and bid his farewell to the artist.

Meanwhile, in his statement, actor and politician Sarath Kumar mourned the death of SPB and honoured his work. Sarath Kumar commented that SPB, who began his career in 1966, has worked with three generations of stars and had a tremendous impact on everyone who grew up in his era.

He lauded the singer as a versatile personality who shined as a musician, producer and actor. He also recalled SPB’s friendly kindness, compassion and said that this loss was an unimaginable one. He conveyed his heart-felt condolences to SPB’s family and shared that SPB’s legacy will live on.
