Dinesh Baboo, the director of films like Suprabatha, Amrutha Varshini, Laali, Nishyabda, and Abhi, announced his 50th film with Rachita Ram. First titled as Kasturi Nivasa, the name was later changed to Kasturi Mahal. Now, there is yet another major change in this project. The lead heroine Rachita Ram has decided to walk out of the film due to date issues.

The film was launched in August in a grand manner, and the actor's exit from the project has turned out to be a big surprise. The director himself confirmed the news with us. "We were all prepared to begin the shoot from October 5, and we just received the news about Rachita's exit. I am on the hunt for a replacement, and I hope to finalise a new female lead before we begin the shoot," says Dinesh.

We received confirmation about the development from Rachita Ram too. "I have been facing date issues, and after much thought, I decided to walk out of the film before the team begins the shoot. I didn't want to jeopardise the project in any way.  I expressed the same to the film's producer," she says.

Rachita, who is looking forward to the release of 100, Ek Love Ya, and her Telugu debut Super Machi, has a slew of projects in hand including Veeram, April, Lilly, a film with director S Ravindranath, and an another with director Mayuraa Raghavendra.

Kasturi Mahal, produced by Ravish RC and Reuben Raj, will have PKH Dass handling the cinematography and the music will be scored by Gumineni Vijay.

Dinesh Baboo has come up with a paranormal thriller this time, based on personal experience. Shruti Prakash and Skanda are part of the cast.
