The 72nd Emmy Awards show continues with a great flair and is set to conclude this weekend. The Creative Arts Emmy for Outstanding Television Movie was awarded to HBO’s Bad Education.

Based on investigative journalist Robert Kolker’s article for the New York Magazine titled The Bad Superintendent, the film followed the suave Long Island School Superintendent named Frank Tassone.

Hugh Jackman rendered the role of the corrupt official, who is ambitious, self-deluding and sly in his endeavours. Allison Janney played the role of Tassone’s assistant Pam Gluckin, whose misuse of school funds draws Tassone into trouble and exposes his long-term exploits.

The film drew acclaim for portraying the insidious corruption in the education system of America.

Hugh Jackman is also nominated for the Outstanding Lead Actor in A Limited Movie or Series Emmy Category, where he competes alongside Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Irons, Paul Mescal and Jeremy Pope.

Bad Education is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar in India.
