It was reported a while ago that Veerappu director Badri will be helming the Tamil remake of the Kannada hit film Mayabazar 2016, starring Prasanna, Shaam, Ashwin Kakumanu, and Yogi Babu in vital roles. The latest speculations state that Bigg Boss and Pyaar Prema Kaadhal-fame Raiza Wilson will be playing the female lead in the film. 

Filmmaker-actor Sundar C, who had bought the Tamil remake rights of the original film, will also be producing the project. It may be recalled that Badri is a former co-director of Sundar C and has directed him in films like Aiyntham Padai. He has also penned the dialogues for the films Action and Kalakalappu.

There is no solid information about the title or rest of the cast and crew yet. However, an official confirmation is expected from the production house soon.
