Veteran Singer Usha Uthup will be part of Akshara Haasan’s upcoming film with America Mappillai-fame Raja Ramamurthy. Usha will be seen playing a carnatic singer in this film, which is Trend Loud’s first feature production.

We had earlier reported that the project will be a coming-of-age film with a female protagonist from a conservative family, played by Akshara. The first look of this untitled film will be unveiled on September 14.

Notably, the last time Usha Uthup acted in Tamil was in 2010, when she played Madhavan’s mother in Manmadhan Ambu, which also starred Kamal Haasan, Trisha, and Sangeetha.

Akshara Haasan was last seen in the ZEE5 series Fingertip. She was also part of Vikram’s 2019 film, Kadaram Kondan.
