Veteran actor Surekha Sikri suffered a brain stroke on Tuesday and is admitted to Criticare hospital in Mumbai. Her condition is said to be critical. Surekha’s Badhai Ho co-star, Ayushmann Khurrana, wished her a speedy recovery on social media. “Wish you a speedy recovery ma’am. Always with you,” the actor wrote. 

Ayushmann had essayed Surekha’s grandson in Badhaai Ho. Both actors won National film awards for their performances in Amit Sharma’s film. Surekha has won the National award thrice and is also a recipient of a Filmfare award.

Earlier, Surekha had suffered a brain stroke in 2018 but recovered from it. The veteran film and television actor is 75.
