It’s raining remakes for Satyadev Kancharana. The Jyothi Lakshmi actor, who recently begun shooting for Gurthunda Seethakaalam, a remake of the Kannada romantic entertainer Love Mocktail, has signed yet another remake.

Titled Thimmarasu, the film is the Telugu adaptation of the Kannada thriller series, Birbal Trilogy Case 1: Finding Vajramuni. Directed by Sharan Koppisetty, the film’s title logo along with the caption – Assignment Vali – was released by the makers today.

Mahesh S Koneru, who earlier bankrolled 118, is producing this film in association with Srujan Yarabolu. The pre-production is underway and the makers are planning to commence principal photography in October.

Directed by MG Srinivas, Birbal was released in January 2019 to largely positive reviews.
