We recently reported that Prithviraj would be playing a cop in an investigative thriller helmed by cinematographer-turned-director Tanu Balak. Production of the film, titled Cold Case, has commenced in Thiruvananthapuram. The team is adhering to mandatory Covid-19 guidelines while filming.

Aditi Balan of Aruvi fame is playing the female lead in Cold Case. Plan J Studios, run by editor Shameer Muhammed and cinematographer Jomon T John, is producing the film jointly with Anto Joseph Film Company. Jomon and Girish Gangadharan are the directors of photography for the project.

Cold Case has screenplay by Srinath and music by Prakash Alex. Art director Ajayan Chalissery, who is also working on Plan J Studios' upcoming Fahadh Faasil film Irul, is part of this team as well.

Prithviraj will be joining the sets after completing the remaining portions of Queen director Dijo Jose Antony's Jana Gana Mana, in which he shares the screen with Suraj Venjaramoodu once again.

Prithiviraj recently tested positive for Covid-19 while filming, but a couple of days ago his test came back negative. However, he will be maintaining another week of quarantine for safety reasons.

Cold Case marks Aditi Balan's second Malayalam feature after the Nivin Pauly-starrer Padavettu.
