Kannada producer-director Dinesh Gandhi passes away due to cardiac arrest

Producer-director Dinesh Gandhi passed away this morning due to cardiac arrest. He was 52. The producer had complained of uneasiness and was recently admitted to a private hospital. 

Dinesh had produced Sudeep's Veera Madakari Nayaka and Ravichandran's Hoo and Mallikarjuna. He had also directed Chatrapathi, which starred doctor-turned-actor Siddhanth in the lead.

Dinesh had planned to direct a children's film with his son in the lead role, which was supposed to be produced by Ramesh Kashyap. But, the project got postponed due to the pandemic.

His sudden demise has shocked his family as well as the Kannada film industry. Condolences have been pouring in from Kannada celebrities and industry members.
