Hansika's 50th film, titled Maha, has been in the making for more than a year. The last leg of the shoot, which commenced after the Covid lockdown was lifted, has now been completed. 

In a statement, Hansika said, "I am elated and happy that my ambitious project Maha has been finally wrapped up. Despite the long hiatus, the entire crew retained the high spirits it had during the commencement of the project. I thank everyone in the team for being supportive, especially during these crucial times. We resumed the shooting by following the strict rules of social distancing laid out by the government. We, as a team, are so happy with the completion and are looking forward to releasing the film in Summer 2021."

Directed by debutant filmmaker UR Jameel, Maha also stars Simbu in an extended cameo and Srikanth in a pivotal role. Produced by Etcetera Entertainment and Malik Streams Production & Distribution, the film has music by Ghibran.
