We had earlier reported that Vishal would be taking over as a director for Thupparivaalan 2 after rifts with Mysskin. The latest news is that shooting will resume from November 9. 

A sequel to the 2017 film, the sequel sees Vishal and Prasanna return as Kaniyan Poongundran and Mano. A considerable portion of the film was shot in London by Myskkin, who also helmed the first part. However, the duo split ways after arguments over budget and remuneration issues. Vishal then announced he would complete the film himself, making his directorial debut.   

Meanwhile, Vishal’s currently awaiting the release of Chakra which is in the final leg of post-production. He also has a film with Anand Shankar in the pipeline, where he shares screen space with Arya.
