17 minutes of footage from Nandamuri Balakrishna and Soundarya's Narthanasala will be getting a direct-digital-release on October 24, for Dasara. The mythological film, which also marked the directorial debut of Balakrishna, will now premiere online on NBK Theatre through Shreyas ET.

In a statement, Balakrishna stated that he will donate all the revenue from the film to charity. Narthanasala, Balakrishna's ambitious film, was launched in a star-studded ceremony on March 1, 2004, in Hyderabad. While Balakrishna played three roles (Arjuna, Bruhannala, and Keechakudu), Sai Kumar enacted Duryodhanudu. Late actors Soundarya, Srihari, and Uday Kiran played the roles of Draupadi, Bheemudu, and Abhimanyudu, respectively. The film also has Asin as Uttara, Sarath Babu as Dharmaraju, Kota Srinivasa Rao as Virata Raju, and veteran director K Vishwanath in a crucial role.

Produced by Pusapati Lakshmipati Raju, a significant portion of the film had been shot before it was shelved due to the tragic demise of Soundarya. Balakrishna had dropped the idea to revive Narthanasala after that.
