Ramya Pandian, who shot to fame with Raju Murugan’s Joker, will be making her digital debut with Mugilan, which is backed by ZEE5. The series will star Karthik Raj, a known face in Tamil television, as the male lead. 

Mugilan is touted to document the rise and fall of a gangster, according to a statement from ZEE5. Apart from Ramya and Karthik Raj, the series will star Robert, Adukalam Naren, and Junior Balaiah in key roles. Mugilan is written and will be helmed by Sri Ram Ram. With music by Vishal Chandrasekar, the series will be available to stream from October 30.

Ramya Pandian was last in the news for a viral photoshoot on her terrace. The actor is currently part of Bigg Boss Tamil Season 4.  

ZEE5 has earlier backed series like Fingertip, Kannamoochi, and Postman. Mugilan is the first series the streaming platform has announced post the Covid-induced lockdown.
