Producer Boney Kapoor has bought the remake rights of the Malayalam thriller, Prathi Poovankozhi (2019). His company has the remake and dubbing rights for all Indian languages of the Malayalam thriller directed by Rosshan Andrrews and starring Manju Warrier.

Prathi Poovankozhi revolves around a woman trying to take on an eve teaser. The film is based on Unni R's short story, Sankadam.

It is also speculated that Boney has the remake rights of another Malayalam thriller, Helen, and the project might star his daughter Jahnvi Kapoor in the lead role.

Meanwhile, Boney, who is planning to remake Badhaai Ho in multiple South Indian languages, is producing a couple of big projects in Tamil and Telugu. After making his South Indian debut with Nerkonda Paarvai, the Tamil remake of Pink, Boney is reuniting with actor Ajith and director H Vinoth for the upcoming action drama, Valimai.  Boney is also backing Vakeel Sahab, the Telugu remake of Pink, starring Pawan Kalyan.
