Maara to premiere on Amazon Prime on December 17

Maara is the official Tamil remake of the Malayalam hit Charlie, and it has Madhavan and Shraddha Srinath reprising Dulquer and Parvathy's roles

Amazon Prime Video has announced through an official statement that the Tamil film, Maara, starring Madhavan and Shraddha Srinath, will premiere on their OTT platform on December 17.

Maara is the official Tamil remake of the Malayalam hit Charlie, which had Dulquer and Parvathy in the lead.

The Tamil version also has Sshivda Nair, Alexander Babu, and Mouli in pivotal characters. Directed by Dhilip Kumar of Kalki fame, the film has music by Ghibran and lyrics by Thamarai.

Recently, Madhavan's Silence had a direct-digital release on Amazon Prime. The actor had also played the lead role in the Amazon Original series Breathe.

Besides Maara, Madhavan also has his directorial debut, Rocketry: The Nambi Effectin the pipeline.
