We had earlier reported that Srikanth and Vidya Pradeep have been roped in to play the leads in a thriller called Echo. Filming for this project began recently in Chennai with Vidya and Srikanth shooting their portions. 

Directed by Nawin Ghanesh, the film also stars Kaali Venkat and Ashish Vidyarthi in important roles. Echo is touted to be a psychological thriller and is based on a a short film Nawin made in 2015. 

Echo’s cinematography is being handled by Gopinath, who has shot films like Ghilli, Dhool, and Thadam.

Vidya Pradeep, who was last seen in Jyothika’s Ponmagal Vandhaal, also has Kanagana Ranaut-starrer Thalaivi in the pipeline. Srikanth, on the other hand, has Mirugaa, Khaki, Maha, and Sambavam in his kitty. He was last seen in the 2019 film Rocky: The Revenge.
