HBO has announced a summer 2021 release for its upcoming series, The Nevers. The sci-fi drama takes place in Victorian London and follows Touched, a group of women who manifest extraordinary abilities 

The news about the release comes shortly after the exit of series creator Joss Whedon. In a statement, Whedon said that he was exiting The Nevers due to his sense of exhaustion and a desire to focus on his personal life.

The Nevers has Laura Donnelly and Ann Skelly playing the lead roles, while Olivia Williams, James Norton, Tom Riley, Ben Chaplin, Nick Frost, Kiran Sonia Sawar, Elizabeth Berrington, Ella Smith, Viola Prettejohn, Anna Devlin and Martyn Ford are the supporting cast members.
