Anjali and Umahsree join Shivarajkumar's Shivappa

Also starring Dhananjay, Pruthvi Ambaar, and Shashikumar, Shivappa will feature Shivarajkumar in three looks

Anjali will be playing the female lead in Shivarajkumar's upcoming film, Shivappa, directed by Vijay Milton. Confirming the development, producer Krishna Sarthak tells Cinema Express that they were in talks with a few heroines, and now, Anjali has been finalised.

The actor, who has worked in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam cinema, made her Kannada debut with Honganasu in 2008 and returned to the industry with director Pavan Wadeyar's Rana Vikrama (2015), opposite Puneeth Rajkumar. 

“If everything goes as per plan, she will be joining the team for the first schedule of Shivappa, which begins on November 23,” says Krishna Sarthak.

The action-packed entertainer will feature Shivarajkumar in three looks. Also starring Dhananjay, Pruthvi Ambaar, and Shashikumar, Shivappa will have music by Anoop Seelin.

Senior actor Umashree has also been announced as being part of the cast. She recently came back to the silverscreen, after a gap of five years, with Ratan Prapancha
