CE Features

We had previously reported that director Dharanidharan of Raja Ranguski fame is teaming up with Sibi Sathyaraj for a film on the man-animal conflict, titled Ranger. The first look of the film has been released today. It features Sibi Sathyaraj in a jungle, with a rifle resting on his shoulder, standing next to a caged tiger. The poster also shows Kaali Venkat in what appears to be a forest service uniform.

Ranger is said to be based on the true incidents, mainly the case of Avni, the tigress, who was shot dead in Yavatmal forests last year, as well as similar incidents in Valparai and Ooty.

The film features Remya Nambeesan opposite Sibiraj. The two actors had previously worked together in the 2017 action thriller, Sathya.

Ranger also stars Madhu Shalini of Avan Ivan fame, Sayaji Shinde, and Kaali Venkat.

Shot in Chalakudy, Vagamon, Palakkad, and Talakona, Ranger will have music by Arrol Corelli and cinematography by Kalyan Venkataraman.
