National award-winning director Mansore has decided to release his new film, Act 1978 in theatres on November 20. The bold move of the filmmaker to forgo a direct OTT release and aim for a theatrical one was made after the unlock rules permitted theatres to function with a limited seating capacity from October 16.

Act 1978 is Monsore's third directorial after his critically-acclaimed Harivu and Nathicharami. The new film is touted to be a thriller which talks about bureaucracy.

The poster of Act 1978, which featured a pregnant Yagna Shetty holding a walkie talkie with a bomb tied to her waist, created curiosity among netizens upon launch. The team of the ACT 1978 is using social media to reach out to the audience and give them a glimpse of the hard work that has gone into the making. Mansore has also sought the support of people for his film stating that the result of Act 1978 will encourage more new filmmakers to make such films.

The film, written by Mansore, TK Dayanand, and Veeru Mallanna also stars Pramod Shetty, Achyuth Kumar, PD Sathishchandra, Shruthi, and B Suresha.
