We had previously reported that Arya is working on a film that will be directed by Pa Ranjith. Tentatively titled Salpetta, the film's shooting has now been wrapped up.

A source close to the unit confirms that the film's shooting has been wrapped up, with only five days of patchwork remaining. Meanwhile, Arya took to Twitter and shared photos from the set with the director, saying he "couldn't have asked for a better sports film."

The backdrop of the photo looks like a rickshaw stand featuring posters of yesteryear films such as Kavikkuyil, Bhuvana Oru Kelvi Kuri, and Manmadha Leelai. Since these films were released during 1976-77, it is expected that the Arya-starrer will also be based in that period.

The makers are planning to release the first look of the film soon, at which time we should get confirmation of the title.

The sports drama also stars Kalaiyarasan, John Kokken, Dushara, and Santhosh Prathap, among others.
