The shoot of Satyameva Jayate 2 was expected to commence on April 10 in Mumbai. However, with the announcement of the nationwide lockdown in late March, the makers decided to call off the shoot. 

In a recent interview with a publication, writer-director Milap Zaveri said it was better to not go on floors instead of getting halted midway, which would have led to bigger losses. Milap said he’s been making small tweaks to the screenplay and fine-tuning its action design. He also teased that lead actor John Abraham is almost like a superhero in the film, ripping tyres and doors like The Hulk (the former feat was already achieved in the 2018 film co-starring Manoj Bajpayee). 

But the most startling revelation made by Milap was that he has already cracked the idea for Satyameva Jayate 3. Yes, even as production is stalled on the second instalment, the director is already eyeing a third entry. Explaining further, the filmmaker said he plans on making a Satyameva Jayate movie every year with John. He argued that corruption — the core theme of the franchise — will never go away in India, and thus he will keep dishing out new movies on the issue.

Lastly, Milap revealed that he has got three more scripts in the pipeline: an action entertainer, a dark offering like his 2016 short Raakh, and a comedy.
