The poster of Sharman Joshi’s upcoming film Fauji Calling is out. Written and directed by Aaryaan Saxena, the film is based on events surrounding the 2019 Pulwama attack. It explores the various facets of “the life of a fauji (solider) and the struggle of their families.”

Besides Sharman, Fauji Calling stars Ranjha Vikram Singh, Bidita Bag, Mugdha Godse and Zarina Wahab. The film is complete and the makers are exploring options to release it amid the lockdown. “The film is ready, in fact we were supposed to release it in May but due to lockdown we could not do it. So, I have discussed with my producers about releasing it on OTT platforms. Let’s see and hope for the best,” Aaryaan shares.

Ranjha Vikram Singh, who is also featured in the poster, says, “Fauji Calling tells the story not only of the armed forces, but the untold story of their families as well. Even today, while we all are making sure we are safe, the soldiers are on duty, and are guarding the country and not just their near and dear ones. At this time, it’s extremely important to recognise their sacrifice, and that’s why we want Fauji Calling to reach out to audience as soon as possible.”
