The Tamil Nadu government will allow post-production work of films and TV shows to resume from May 11. This move comes following requests by producers to allow them to resume work which has been stalled for more than 50 days due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Work such as editing, dubbing, DI, rerecording, sound designing/mixing (with a maximum of five people) and VFX/CGI (with 10 to 15 people) will be allowed from Monday. Further, production companies have been advised to obtain required travel passes for workers and make sure they practice social distancing, use masks, sanitizers, and follow all rules advised by the Centre and state government.

FEFSI (Film Employees Federation of South India) had earlier requested the government to allow post-production work saying it would provide work for almost 40 per cent of its members.
