Telugu actor Niharika Konidela, who made her Tamil debut with Vijay Sethupathi’s Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren, has signed her next Tamil film. The actor will be playing the lead opposite Ashok Selvan in a film directed by debutante Swathini, an erstwhile assistant of Suseenthiran.  

Niharika confirmed the announcement with a social media post, also revealing the details of the project. “Yes and yes! I’m super excited and can’t wait for the shoot to start!” she wrote. Produced by Kenanya films, this untitled project will have music by Leon James. The film is also touted to be a rom-com. 

Meanwhile, Ashok Selvan was recently seen in Oh My Kadavule, which was a success at the box office. The Soodhu Kavvum actor also has the thriller Red Rum, Vezham, Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, and his Telugu debut directed by Ani Sasi, featuring Nithya Menen and Ritu Varma as female leads, in various stages of production.
