Vicky Kaushal has donated Rs. 1 crore to the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situation (PM-CARES) fund. The fund was recently announced by PM Narendra Modi to deal with the ongoing coronavirus crisis. Earlier, actors like Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, Rajkummar Rao, Kartik Aaryan, and Anushka Sharma had contributed to the cause.

“While I’m blessed enough to be seated with my loved ones in the comforts of my home, there are many who are not as fortunate. In this time of crisis, I humbly pledge to contribute Rs 1 crore to PM-CARES and Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Relief Fund,” Vicky stated. “We are in this together and we’ll win this together. Let us do our bit for a healthier and stronger future.”

On the work front, Vicky was last seen in the horror film, Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship. He essays the role of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in Karan Johar’s Takht. The film, which was expected to go on floors in Rajasthan and Italy, has been indefinitely delayed due to the coronavirus outbreak.
