Coronavirus outbreak: Surya, Karthi donate Rs 10 lakh for FEFSI workers

Sivakumar and his sons Surya and Karthi have reportedly donated Rs 10 lakh to Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) workers, who have lost their livelihood amid the coronavirus outbreak. 

Earlier today, FEFSI released a statement urging everyone in the film fraternity, who are in a position to donate, to come forward and contribute to help the daily wage workers in the industry.  Thousands of workers have lost jobs due to the halt in production, shooting and the current standstill across the world.

Notably, Surya runs the Agaram Foundation that aims to uplift the socio-economic status of rural Tamil Nadu by helping more students receive education. The family is known for their philanthrophist deeds.
